Meet the Board

Sara Rae is currently Director, Business & Enterprise at West College Scotland.

Sara spent the early part of her career working in Strathclyde Regional Council and then the West of Scotland Colleges' Partnership, focussing on identifying and developing European and economic development projects and associated income streams.   She then decided working for one college may be better than working for the then 20 in the Partnership, so joined Reid Kerr College in 1999 becoming European, Research and Development Manager. This was an interesting and challenging time providing opportunities to engage in new markets for the College as well as product development.  Sara was promoted to Head of Corporate Development in 2010 where her remit expanded to include international, community planning partnership and enterprise initiatives before being appointed as Director of Business & Enterprise for West College Scotland in September 2013.
